Will V8TV ever fix up Tander's stats??

Perhaps abit petty , but for more than a year on the V8TV coverage of V8Supercars, whenever they list Garth Tander's little bio on the bottom of the screen during the race, they have him as making his debut at Phillip Island in 1988.....(1998 of course)

Now surely it is a simple thing to change, yet they've never touched it in nearly 18 months.

I have noticed it too, but to my way of thinking it shows the amount of detail that the supercar organisation put into the show. Pity they dont take a leaf out of the books of the PROFESSIONAL teams that race for them.

Im not sure asking a question is protective, if they havent told them, i will.

but if its that important to someone that they have to start a thread on the forum then why not send them a quick email and tell them, they are probably not aware that someone typed a 8 instead of a 9 and will be thankful for the correction.

guess we have just different standards DRT.

Hope they dont correct the verbal slip up made during yesterdays Mini Challenge Commentary. With Lee Holdsworth and Aaron Noonan and refered to Tander Sports as the company Leanne runs with her WIFE Garth - oh soooo true !!! All the guys at work today were piddling themselves laughing at that one, we played the tape over and over and over .

Apparently, according to an on screen graphic, James Hinchcliffe was providing special comments during Race 3.

While we're at V8TV... has anyone noticed that they are adding applause tracks to the podium presentations?

If you have the footage, watch the podium presentation from Sunday - they fade fake applause in and out. Is this something they learnt from NASCAR?

Add to that the AVESCO bloke that was instructing the podium exactly how to hold up their trophies.

Will they be putting makeup on race drivers next?

If it means we don't hear booing anymore, then i'll be happy. Booing is incredibly unsportsmanlike and rather unbecoming. If you don't like the guy, just applaud his success with silence.

Yeah love or dislike a team . driver etc, if they are on the podium , theres a huge chance they deserve it. No place in this or any sport for booing.

Its the V8 Supercar-fan way though, isn't it? It all began when japanese cars were winning, didn't it?

I must say I've always noticed more booing when a Holden wins versus a Ford winning...

Its more to do with just someone winning who they don't like, the Eggenberger drivers got a pretty cold reception on the podium at Bathurst in 1987.

The reaction wasn't too bad in 1991 on the Bathurst podium was it??
