I think we can safely say that McLaren is one team Alonso won't be joining anytime soon.
 Good news, though - replacing Heikki after one season would have been pointless when it's questionable whether there are any better options available. I definitely think there's more to come from him. |

He's absolutely the best option foir Ron & Co.
He is charming, unpolitical and quick, but not quite quick enough to trouble their un-official No.1 driver. In McLaren terms, he is the Berger to Hamilton's Senna. |

Have we really go to the point where we cant be bothered to type in the actual name of the driver as a title thread, no such driver called Kovy at Mclaren...
There is of course But at Honda, Hamy at Mclaren, Alony at Renault, Weby at Red Bull...silly really! |

Some would perhaps say that being Hamilton's team-mate would finish his career off, but I'm not so cynical. I think judging from the fact that McLaren seem to be a lot more harmonious this year that they might stick with the line-up they've got for quite some time.

Kovalainen (or Kovy to others!) is a solid number 2 which appears the course Mclaren want to take, looks like no more drivers in the seat to hassle their number 1 driver.

Probably the right choice - he's been quick at times without ever truly troubling Lewis, and has the potential to be the Berger of the team. Two superstars in one team doesn't work in this day and age.
