It's suppost to come the 10th here in the US. Hope they keep to their words. It's too bad that it actually doesn't rain on the wet stages, maybe we will have to wait until GT4 or the PS3.

No - it's going to be too similar to GT2. Wait for GT4 for the (second) greatest game ever... (cos nothing will ever beat Final Fantasy 7).

I dug out my GT3 demo just now and had a quick romp around Laguna Seca and Trial Mountain. Oh man it's gonna be goooooood... - check out the new video which comes with this month's PSM2 magazine.

Final Fantasy 9 is better than 8 but not 7. Final Fantasy 10, released in the autumn, is looking AMAZING...

DNQ: A special GT3 & PS2 package is being released when the game comes out on 27th July. Go ooooon, you know you want to...

I agree M-Fan, the latest vid looks amazing.

I just hope the release isn't delayed past my birthday in August, as that's what I want from my Mum and Dad!

FFX will be cool too, though I'm still on disc 1 of FFIX

Pah, SPEND IT ALL!!! I am going well into the overdraft - and how could I not? Game Boy Advance out on Friday, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec on 27th July, AND Dark Cloud at the start of August... I can hear my wallet screaming right now...

Minardi Fan, I've just read the official PS2 magazine reveiw of GT3 and while the screen shots look breathtaking and they give it a glowing 9 out of 10 they mentioned a couple of things that worry me. First of all it will only have 150 cars, way less than the previous two, and also it will only have 3 new tracks (although the Monaco looks superb). Whats your thoughts, I hope this does not retract from the genious that is Gran Turismo...

Yeah I read the review today. The amount of cars doesn't really bother me, nor the fact that there are only 3 new tracks - I traded GT2 in a few days after buying it so I am looking forward to GT3 immensely. However, from the demo a while back it was evident that they need to do some serious work to the AI for GT4.

Yeah they pointed out the AI as another problem. To me it seems that GT3 will simply be a graphical update to GT2. I'll still be buying it mind .

We just have to keep in mind that despite the flaws it may well have, it's still going to be the best PS2 game released yet by some margin. Plus it's just the tip of the iceberg - in the next six months we have Dark Cloud, EA's F1 2001, Tomb Raider: Next Gen, Black and White, Baldur's Gate 2, Final Fantasy 10, AND possibly... *dare I say it...* METAL GEAR SOLID 2!!!!!!!

The future for PS2 is looking very good indeed.

OOOOOOOH!!! The review said that *gasp* the final few unlockable cars are OPEN WHEELERS based on F1 cars!!! Come on Polyphony, get hold of an FIA license and give us what we really really REALLY want...

jonboyG has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I pre-ordered my copy today - Amazon have the release date as the 20th.

Monaco, with one of the hidden F1 cars (there are two in there) ohh boy!

Sadly they are not actual F1 cars, just nice open wheelers designed by the Polyphony bods - so, umm... basically, yes, they're F1 cars!

And of course MONACO!!! (Well it's called Cote D'Azur in the game, but baby, it's MONACO!!!)

I played the demo again today... I CAN'T WAIT!!!

(P.S LESS THAN TWO WEEKS PEOPLE!!!)

Do you have a playable demo Minardi Fan, if so where did you get it. I have the movie demo from the OPS2 magazine, are those the genuine in game graphics or somthing that has been specially rendered by the developers?

The playable demo was featured on the PS2 mag cover disk in Jan, but there will be a new one in the new issue out 18 July. I rung EB yesterday to pre-order my copy, roll on Friday 20th. ONLY 10 DAYS TO GO!

Has anyone seen this month's Powerstation magazine? There's part 1 of a 2 part guide with a pic of every car in GT3! All 185! Including the F1 style cars.

btw, I won't be cheating and reading the guide, I just wanted to see the cars

Dave, have you looked at the video on the OPS2 cover disk, though I'd ask again if that is genuine, in game, graphics. If they are then this game is going to be unbeleavable.
