Awful track, all the action came from the SC, lights are pretty neat though.
All in all a 5 but even thats generous. |

Great track for a street circuit, lots of action. SC was to be expected, it didn't take anything away from the race.

I'll give it a 6, as it kept me awake
However, we won't know the result for 2 hours yet, giving the FIA time to invent some more new penalties |

5 - It's nice to have a night race. But today we saw how bad Formula 1 really is. The race was boring until the Safety Car artificially 'spiced up' the racing. We also saw the danger of mid-race refuelling again.

A 7 for me.
It was a great spectacle, and the racing was often close, but for me there's always a question mark over these artificially-created 'freak' results. |

2 Sorry the whole charade just did not work for me, better when camera's at track level but the long tower/balloon/helichopper views a complete waste of time, and that is being very very generous and diplomatic, rather get up at 4am and be bored.

Racing at night? On a street circuit? Those are gimmicks to mask the utter bore that is Formula 1 these days... |

2, might have been a great atmosphere at the track, but none as a TV viewer, and agin the luck of a safety car decided the winner.
Great drive from Nico. |

6 for me.
Much better track and atmosphere than Valencia and personally deserves to stay there for the near future. Racing wasn't great with modern F1 cars on street circuits but at least its a proper street circuit where mistakes are punished plus the atmosphere is great. As I'm typing this I can't help but notice the Ad next to the quick reply box of Bernie with his hands on a pit girl!! |

A 7. Some interesting developments in the field and a great atmosphere. The track though isn't that great with little actual racing. I like the bumpy surface though, which can catch the drivers unaware and forces some more car setup compromises.

I liked it, it was different and masked the problems of current F1.
The cars and the track looked great. Variety is the spice of life. |

Yet another race ruined by the circuit, the rules and general incompetence. |

8 for me, Really enjoyed it, yes it was partly the novelty of the event, but it was better than Valencia, we had overtaking, and all round just a good show.

6, not as good as some other races this season, but still kept me reasonably interested.

I thought it was OK,and certainly we saw a much longer race than usual, which is always a good thing.
Piquet's 'strategic' spin and the silly safety car rules no doubt helped with the entertainment value and Ferrari's pit lane attempts to grab defeat from the jaws of victory finally paid off. Also, there were some lucky people in that pit lane again! |

Absolutely loved it. Granted it was a little boring in terms of the racing, but the atmosphere was amazing.
Very well done. A 9 from me. And a great job by Alonso and Rosberg. |

Also as some people pointed out, the length of the race was great. And with 23 turns, really makes the drivers work which is always a good thing.

5.
Pro's: Atmosphere was superb. Cars look marvellous under the lights. Night racing is rather good. Safety car spiced it up. Cons: Typical street circuit - few passing places (like most new tracks unfortunately). Processional until safety car. Is night racing simply a gimmick? |

Would've been a fantastically average race if not for the surely soon to be losing of an F1 drive, Nelsinho Piquet!!
Great to have the champcar style 'sometimes you gets the breaks, sometimes you don't' with the pitstops rules under the yellows aspect though! |
