ABG getting sponsership from Lexus?

Just a thing I noticed myself, did anyone else too? Look on the grill of the Lexus in pictures from Mondello onwards and you may see a Lexus badge. Was it me or has it just appeared on the car. ABG also has jackets with Lexus on them. Anyone in the know?

I think ABG have Lexus' approval of competing in the BTCC, as i reckon they are considering entering a fully-fledged works attack before too long. However, at the mo i think they only let ABG use their names, not directly sponsoring them with cash.

I think that Lexus do give a bit of back door funding to ABG, but for some reason don't seem keen to launch a works team themselves. I think that there is a lot of motorsport 'politics' behind the teams these days, which is a shame. I hope what Hunttheshunt sez comes true. That Lexus could easily be a winner if it was a works team.
