Arrows Nissan??

Formula1.com reports that unlike the earlier Ford stories the Arrows is almost certain to be powered by a 2002 spec Renault next year, this will be rebadged under the Nissan or Supertec name(I think Nissan would be more logical, it's the 2002 engine).

But there's another option: Jean Todt said that Prost are still uncertain of Ferrari power for 2002........

A Dutch magazine reports that Tom Walkinshaw will anounce the engine partner at Silverstone next month.

You are reading my mind Steve, I was just reading this at Autorace.com

The Arrows team announced over the European GP weekend that they have secured the services of Jos Verstappen for the 2002 season.

At the announcement, team boss Tom Walkinshaw said that Verstappen showed so far in 2001 that he is a fantastic racing driver and that the team is looking forward to seeing him drive the team up the rankings.

Verstappen said that he is sure he made the right choice to stay at Arrows for 2002 and explained why when he said: "I think I have plenty of time in my career to go anywhere else, but I think it is a good time to stay in the car when you know the engine. Tom is very hungry for next year and I think it would be bad to go somewhere else, especially with the noises in the team about what is going to happen."
Hmm, what are they so excited about? It can't be this years Renault motor, but next years may be very good.

Another question, who will Asiatech supply. Prost would be crazy to replace the Ferrari donk, will it be Minardi?

Indeed, Asiatech are looking increasingly likely to supply Minardi - the Nissan (Renaults) were always going to either go to Minardi or Arrows. Does this mean Asiatech will supply two teams?

How can you be so sure that future Renault engines will show better performance than today´s ?...
