Will be there with Escort- although tested it there a couple of times will be car's first race at home circuit- and 45 minutes is a bonus!
mickey29- only Masters big stuff, GPM and Sportscars at Superleague Silverstone this weekend. Not sure how / if many of them post on this forum? Sounds like an interesting meeting......... |

Have MSV not bought some 400bhp M3s? Not sure who'll have more fun, the guys racing or the safety car driver!

My Turner co owner and I will be there with our sons, in the Cloth Cap it will be Ben and Pete Adams and in the 70's race I will co drive with my son in an invitation class. Anyone in that race I would ask them to be kind to the second driver as it will be my son in his first race! He passed his ARDS on Wednesday and we have been up at Silverstone on the new South circuit today with the race school getting him more seat time. BTW the South circuit is actually rather nice!

Congratulations to Drabble Junior on the ARDS pass- let's hope the current good weather hangs on for another week at least! Presume you are out in 'Stars of' race- if Vince Woodman brings his Capri out make sure you have some good ear plugs!
Sorry, OT- Motor Cyle News rode the S'stone South Circuit and gave it the thumbs up this week in their paper. Will be interesting to hear what they think of the full GP layout. |

Sunday.
So, will fallout from volcanic ash cloud affect lap times? Will the cold front move down from North enough to produce some damp?
Apart from Terence playing shepherd, the Drabble family and me- anyone else going? |

Garages were for Top Hat but looks like a few others have got into spare ones. I think Vince like his Capri in garage so can frighten the wildlife when his guys start it! |

One of my friends was doing his first race in the Minis but was flying in from Moscow and that doesn't look good with the volcano issues.....

Sorry to hear that Roger. Latest news on flights not good and seems the 'cloud' is causing problems for a lot of people. Maybe wind will change direction today but even when it does will be chaos.

Enjoy yourselves folks. My season is unlikely to start this year due to working commitments. However the Capri is rebuilt and ready to be fired up if/when I get out of here!

Flying problems?
A certain Mr. J. Cleese, perhaps best known for a Flying Circus, apparently took a taxi from Oslo to Brussels and then caught the Eurostar to get home for the weekend. Where there is a will there is a way. Mind you, apparently it cost him 3 grand but hey, still cheaper than a Monaco or Le Mans entry .... So, taxi from Moscow .... ? |
