It was hot today, so Audis got more mechanical grip than in March. But in race they'll still suffer from tyre wear. Mercs can switch to some interesting strategies to overtake competitors during pit-stops.

Six posts for the entre race weekend? I guess that tells a story in itself. I watched the race yesterday, it was somewhat unremarkable other than Paffett losing his head. I don't think that would have impressed the team very much. He must be regretting it now. It's a shame Jarvis retired. Surprising to see Premat somewhere near the front.

Norbert Haug seemed to think it was a dull race from his comments too, I guess the circuit just isn't really suitable for the DTM.

Also I see Tomczyk has been disqualified for using a tyre from outside his race allocation, it seems a bit harsh to be kicked out of the results for that as no advantage was gained, I'd have thought a time penalty or gird drop at the next race would have been a better punishment rather than exclusion.

We seem to hear that all too often, which begs the question why keep going to unsuitable circuits. Ok, so I probably know the an$wer to that

Normally though you hear Norbert Haug raving about the races - even if nothing has really happened. In this case though it appears to have bored even him!

What else races on that circuit? Does it ever produce good racing? Does it have anything that can be called a "classic" corner? Does it have any redeeming features at all?

Tragic really.

DTM is a dead duck if ever I saw one.

Most of the cars are works sponsored - Only Audi and Mercedes seem interested in the DTM as it stands and judging by the tedious processions that pass for 'races' that's with good reason!

The stupid amount of fragile winglets mean that even the slightest contact is usually fatal to a driver's race and results in someone getting a drive through penalty. Passing is virtually unknown - Sure the cars are exciting in the metal, but they make Big Brother look entertaining in terms of TV viewing (And it's nothing new).

I watched the first two races of this season on ESPN, who did a decent job, but sorry - that's it for me, unless I'm REALLY stuck for something to watch...

ADAC GT Masters attracts me way more than DTM could since Opels withdrawal
