New Irish GT OPEN Racing Series Planned for 2010 and beyond

Hi All

Due to the amount of interest from different people with race cars that do not readily fit into some of the current series and from series that are struggling to fill grids in the current econmic climate there has been a set of regulations for a GT open racing series presented to the Motorsport Ireland race comitee and Mondello with a view to running a full championship for 2011

I can confirm that there will be 2 non championship race meetings run in 2010 to see what kind of cars want to run and to get an idea of what number of people are serious about racing in a class such as GT Open

These test races will be double headers and will take place at mondello park on 22nd August and 12th September respectivly

I have attached a set of DRAFT Regs for everyone to look over and see what they think and please note these are not final regs just a platform to work from

So anybody who is really serious about racing these type of cars get them out for the races in 2010 and show your support because if it is not supported it can not progress or run in 2011

Please note this is in the very early stages and is open to sugestions from all teams and drivers on how to progress this further
