The Brunei Car Collection
www.supercars.net/autoshows/sultan/
'The Brunei Report' is about the Sultan of Brunei's Secret Automotive Empire. The collection itself is the largest exotic car collection in the world. The cars currently sit in 1 of 4 warehouses. Counts of the entire collection vary from 3000 to 5000 cars. The garages and cars used to be maintained by a crew of over 150 mechanics and engineers from various car companies. When it came to purchasing a car, the Sultan would never have his mind set on one copy or one variation. Usually he bought cars in bulk, trying to get a copy of the car in every color available. |

Nice Link. Thanks Gerard.
Autocar magazine, in mid '98, did a great feature on the collection, with pictures from inside the garage. Needless to say, they were breathtaking. A Ferrari 456 Shooting Brake, anyone? The Sultan is also rumoured to own a series of McLaren F1's. Remember Jerez '97 when Villeneuve and TGF settled their championship battle with a game of bumper cars? Guess who has both chassis involved? |
