V8SCFC'10: R14 Sydney Results & Season Awards
I presume Mark, James, and Jamie were all using the same in-car GPS system - "Straight Ahead - 500m" Top Ten
Our championship contenders know how to negotiate corners B.O.R.I.N.G. sprinted off with the trophy, well clear of the inseparable pair of L&P World Famous Racing and Axeman Performance Racing. Team Bourbonfone missed the podium by a nose, with Stealthy Motorsport rounding out the top five. Congrats to Olympic (Park) champions Lee Holdsworth, Dean Fiore, Jason Bargwanna, and Jonathan Webb! Hard Charger Award Green Hornets made the most of others misfortune, blasting past sticken car after stricken car to a six-place gain. Also making super-late runs were B.O.R.I.N.G., S.A.M.S., and Kmart-HSV Dealer Team, who all jumped 4 places. The Paul Radisich Trophy For Reckless Endangerment of your Vehicle in the Pursuit of Championship Points. This trophy goes to the hardest of hard chargers, the team whose cars have bonnets shaped like accordions, holes where the headlights used to be, front suspension held together with sticky tape, and a spotless rear bumper. The Paul Radisich Trophy for 2010 goes to..... Jacko Junior Racing! for scoring two Hard Charger awards, against no Loser appearances. Congratulations jacko44! Biggest Loser Award City Pacific Racing ingested too much concrete over the weekend, crashing 8 places in the standings. MK Motorsports didn't ingest enough fuel and dropped 7 spots. The Precast Concrete Federation Salver For Reckless Endangerment of your Vehicle for No Good Reason. This salver goes to the greatest of the gutterballers, the drivers who simply cannot keep their car on the road and would rather do doughnuts in the sandpit or test the crash rating of various fences and walls. The Precast Concrete Federation Salver for 2010 jointly goes to..... Team MVMotorsport and JPMotorsport! for 'winning' the Biggest Loser twice, with one Highly Uncommended each. Congratulations(?) MattV and -J11--! The Attention Whore Cup For Getting Your Ugly Mug In Front Of Camera As Often As Possible. This cup goes to the team that loves the spotlight so much they were *always* on the podium, even when uninvited. The Attention Whore Cup for 2009 goes to..... ANZAC Racing! for scoring seven podium trips (two wins & five top-threes). Congratulations H C Motorsport! The Roland Dane Mahogany Cabinet For Winning All The Time. This cabinet goes to the team that won so much they've outgrown their old trophy cabinet. The Roland Dane Mahogany Cabinet for 2009 jointly goes to..... B.O.R.I.N.G. (again) and Eagle Motorsport! for winning three championship rounds each. Congratulations Boxy and Biggy G! Final Standings:
The Pete55 Memorial Trophy For Winning It All. This trophy, dedicated to a former forumer, fantasy team owner, and two-time top-3 V8SCFC finisher, goes to the team that wins the Ten-Tenths V8Supercar Fantasy Championship. The eighth name to be engraved on the Pete55 Memorial Trophy is..... ANZAC Racing! Congratulations H C Motorsport! ANZAC Racing dominated the competition almost from the start, clearing off to win the title by 313 points. Some ways behind, the fight continued with B.O.R.I.N.G.'s final-round victory launching them from sixth to second, fractionally ahead of Brendon Engineering, L&P World Famous Racing, Eagle Motorsport, and EBXR8 Red Bull Motorsport in one of the most hotly contested silverware-grabs we've seen. Holly Wood Enterprises relinquished their crown with a seventh place finish, followed by Team Bourbonfone, Zoom Motorsport, and Lego Racers rounding out the top ten. And with the conclusion of the 2010 edition, we move into the offseason - a time even more full of driver-firing and shady deals than the regular season! After all that, I'll be back (in about three weeks! ) with the unveiling of the 2011 V8Supercar Fantasy Championship. Hopefully you enjoyed this year enough to come back! |

Maybe one of the photoshop gurus out there could draw up the Pete55 trophy, with all the updated champion names?
