Group A dr30 crash
I am after some info on the Gibson Dr30 Group A cars. I am looking for some pics or articles on the crash at sandown that prevented the car running at bathurst that year (cant remember year). I am after the full history of the Gibson Group A Dr30 race cars, articles, pics, info.

If your talking about 1986, then Garry Scott had a coming together with Grice I think and damaged the front of the car on the opening lap but still managed to finish 2nd

I didn't think the damage was bad enough to rule the car out of Bathurst. They did have three cars by that point, though, so maybe they figured it wasn't worth the hassle?

Was it 86 or 87 that they had the third car with the new roll cage design that made the car to stiff and thus the lead car was a dog compared to the second team car.
There is from some of my research lately only one unmolested chassis left of the DR30. |

That was '86. The car worked fine at Sandown, but ate tyres and bucked like a bronco at Bathurst.
