Social evening
The next South Midlands Region Social evening will be on Tuesday 18th January. The evening will start at 8pm in "The White Horse" in Silverstone village. The speaker for the evening will be Formula 1 photographer Mark Sutton from Sutton Images. once again the evening is open to all marshals.

What a great way to start the season. Mark used a cracking Powerpoint presentation to tell the story of how his company started, from the beginings when he and his brother started taking pictures as schoolboys @ Oulton Park in the early 1960's up to modern times when they now use 4 photographers at every Grand Prix.
He told some interesting stories and reckoned that his pictures as good as they are, are often caused more by luck than judgement. Moving into the digital age, he said that today Sutton Images have around 700 000 images online. Mark has set a very high standard for the new season. |
