Lift to Brads Hatch for the DTM

Hi all

I am looking for lift to Brands Hatch for the upcoming DTM meet from 02-04 sep 2011.

I am an international student studying and staying at Aberystwyth. I am very keen to be a part of this iconic meet.

Due to personal circumstances cannot reach Swanley before midnight. will be greatly ob liged if somebody can pick me from the station the next morning that is friday morning and drop me at the track.

Please do leave a message at my email racerdunks@gmail.com or contact me 07942853810.

Hope to receive some help.

Best wishes

Vijay Krishna

Vijay,
you say you will not arrive at Swanley station until 2345 - I cannot see which train that is?

Depart.......Arrive
VICTORIA...SWANLEY
22:52........23:19
23:07........23:34
23:52........00:19
00:07........00:34

I'd rather not be up and about at your planned arrival time, but your plan to stay awake on Swanley station overnight is foolhardy to say the least. Ten pounds for a taxi won't kill you, but a night in Swanley station......just might.

Walking is possible but it will be a bit dark for pitching your tent.

A google map shows walk from Swanley station to be about 2 hours

Walking from Eynsford station may be shorter 1 hr 20 according to Google, and it's certainly peaceful enough to sleep in the waiting area on the London bound platform.

Finally, consider Victoria to Farningham Road, a 1 hr 25 minute walk.

Depart......Arrive
VICTORIA..EYNSFORD
21:43.......22:30
22:13.......23:00
00:07.......00:43

Depart......Arrive
VICTORIA..FARNINGHAM ROAD
22:52.......23:24
23:52.......00:25
00:35.......01:10

Please keep us updated on your plan.

Either way it doesn't sound like a bundle of laughs, I think that I would be tempted to try to find a place to get my head down in town before heading out to the country in the morning followed by a shared taxi from the station.

Al,
I can pick him up in London Friday morning, save you driving in.
I'm not doing Sat/Sunday.

Picking him up from Swanley though? You aren't coming into town like some posts suggest are you?

Didn't think you were "that" generous.

Just thought that I would say that was a very generous thing to do, I hope that he appreciated the effort.
I would have offered but he may have had some metallic objects which, in my car, would act as a sacrificial anode!
