MGOC 2012 RACE DATES

If your going to be racing an MG in 2012, this really must be the best program there is:

Rounds 1 and 2 : 7/8th April - Snetterton.
Rounds 3 and 4 : 5/6th May - Brands Hatch.
Rounds 5 and 6 : 19th May - Oulton Park (can't say what circuit at the moment).
Rounds 7and 8: 23/24th June - Silverstone (Arena GP circuit).
Rounds 9, 10 and 11: 18/19th August - Donington Park (practice and one race on Saturday 18th and two races on Sunday 19th).
Rounds 12 and 13 : 8/9th September - Cadwell Park.
Rounds 14 and 15 : 30th September - Mallory.
Round 16 : 14th October - Thruxton (only one race)

These dates are subject to final confirmation but I can assure you that BARC wouldn't issue unless they were 99% certain.
I really don't think we've ever had such an impressive race programme, the Doninton weeknd is a huge bonus for us and should be great fun.

I can't at this stage say what days we'll be racing on at the two day meetings, this won't be known for a couple of months yet.

All races are BARC meetings except except Brands and Silverstone which are of course MG Car Club events.

If you are unfamilier with the MGOC Race Championship the visit our website to get all the info you need, 2012 we already have at least 5 new drivers to boost our grid which is always over 20 cars, last race out full grid at Mallory.... so come and race with what I think is the biggest MG Championship in the world!

Surely the best MG races are run by the MG Car Club? The MGOC is not MSA affiliated and thus "its" races are run by BARC as part of their race programme.

Agreed but there's nothing like plugging a series is there. mgracer, care to share a web link as this seems to be a pretty obscure series.

I love that! (hi Strat, happy new year to you an the family)

With over 30 years racing and some of the best MG racing over the years, everyone remembers massive Maestro grids.

The statement of the best MG series in the world simply relates the the fact that we will have the biggest most competative, cost efective, action packed series for MG,s from Midgets, Zr,s, F,s Zs,s ,Mgb,s a first for the club will be a ZS diesel..... this coupled with our half price young driver reward which see,s 16-20 yr olds racing half price again. We have lots of new novice drivers and some returning champions from the past. As a club we also value our relationship with the mgcc and for another year we are invited to race with them at silverstone and brands.....

so this really is the place to race no matter if you are a novice or a seasoned veteran......

the web site is www.mgoc-championship.co.uk

happynew year fellow racers!

Sorry it wasn't meant to be derogatory, I've raced with the MGCC for over 5 years and didn't know the MGOC did their own races.
