Volunteers wanted - Autosports Show 2013.

Would you like to help man a marshals’ recruitment stand on the Go Motorsport stand at Autosports show?

We need marshals from all clubs and disciplines who can talk to the general public about our hobby and, hopefully get their interest in becoming marshals. We need to cover all aspects, not just circuits, so if you have experience of kart, rally, sprints, hillclimbs, autotests etc. please think about volunteering. I would like four or five people per day so that you can spell each other and be able to see the show.

If you are interested please drop me a line with your photo and motorsport history (just a few lines so we can assess your experience). I will make the selection over the Christmas period and let everyone know by the New Year.

Please help us to recruit more people to our fantastic hobby.

Regards

Chris Hobson

What are the dates and times the volunteers will need to be available, Chris? Would be a useful guide to those who will need to take time off work.

I'm there on Saturday as well and I've had the e-mail from Jess, I suggest you send her a quick note to confirm your attendance. I must say the quality of information I've received so far is absolutely spot on.
I hope to see you all there on Saturday!

Spoke to Jess today, she is sending out email tomorrow, but looks like you get passes from her/front desk when you've arrived. Afraid no parking passes for any of us.

We have had problems getting the passes. Jess now has them and will send an email to everyone tonight when they finish setting up the stand giving details. She will hand out the passes each morning. She will also give you her contact number in case of any problems

I have to look out for Helen Cross on Sunday to get my pass!
Don't know who Helen is. Now a bald head and a goatee is easier

Superb day. Many thanks to everyone on the Go Motorsport stand for making it a very enjoyable time.
I thought the show in general was pretty much the same as the last couple of years, with visitor numbers much the same.
I did think there were more ladies with little in the way of clothing on, than ever before on stands, which I have to say seems a bizare.
Highlight for me was, chatting to David Brabham at lunchtime, reminising about our mutual interest in Bowman F3 in the 90's.

My very grateful thanks to everyone who gave their time over the four days to man the Go Motorsport stand. Thanks to you and the team on the BMMC stand we took over 200 names of people who would like to try a taster day.

I will be writing to you all, but, in the meantime,

Well done all of you

Chris
