Who's cleaver idea is it to put the Fun cup on in April.? Or have we just jumped to September. No Summer Again.

We've actually got two Fun Cups this year, however, the second one is in October.

I'm led to believe that there has been some sort of problem with tickets for this meeting so they will be late.

Don't panic - you won't be turned away!

Or a 1 day "Oulton park Formula Ford Festival" for PROPER Formula Fords from all over the UK, not those bewinged monsters that have been produced recently (exception applied for the old FF2000's though ) Practice and qualifying in the morning with heats, last chance race, semis and final in the afternoon.

You mean like when Diz used to organise the Anglo-Irish FF festival at Aintree - Derek (or possibly Vivion) Daly overtaking everyone into the first corner - just a pity he was going backwards and upside down 10' off the ground at the time.

It was Michael Roe
I believe his first words to the marshals, when the car came to rest, were "did it go over?"

It was not solely an Anglo Irish meeting. It was the J & P Polymers Formula Ford Fiesta meeting (I couldn't use the word Festival).
It was the year the Fiesta came out and I thought Ford Motor Company might like the use of the word Fiesta. They weren't in the slightest bit interested in anything to do with Formula Ford though. Nothing changes there then.

My mistake -easy one to make as at the time Daly, Roe, Acheson etc tended to circulate as a single multi-car unit, occasionally spitting one or more out into the scenery.
