Nascar have confiscated roof flap parts from 16 Cup teams and 15 Nationwide teams following pre-practice inspections (story is on Nascar.com). For the conspiracy theorists out there the cars affected account for all of the chase contending Toyota's and Fords, but no Chevys...

An awful restrictor plate race with "Big Cwashes" at the end to keep the masses happy, I'm sure SPEED thought it was the best race ever

Yeah. Props to Ambrose for trying to be aggressive, but you see the result whenever they try to race.

Champions have lots of luck, pity Ambrose didnt take Johnson out - another disappointing result which couldve been a brilliant result if there was a little luck

Luckily the "two by two" stuff is gone BUT now the entire field is running in a pack. Not so very long ago there would be three packs of cars, the first of which consisted of 6-7 cars. Of those 6-7 cars, 3-4 had a chance of winning. Maybe it was less entertaining to some, but it was safer in my mind. |

Back to 28th, then a DNF. Pure, unadulterated gold. Funniest thing on TV all day. I just love seeing that pushing, punting ****** get some payback. I wonder who he blamed this time? |

you can laugh at his results all you want, he's laughing at your bank account, even with a DNF!

Glad to see the Red/Blue war spill over in the stockcar thread. Thanks, Taz.
Typical plate race; a real mess, with lots of owners writing checks this week for broke ass racecars, an idiotic GWC finish, edge of the seat racing until the bomb goes off and the drivers absolutely stuck dealing with this BS 4 times a year. They honestly do the best they can, but shyte happens. Only one not complaining this year about plate racing would be JJ and Co., and every dumbass redneck that likes seeing sparks and smoke and bashed up racecars every 40 laps or so. |

You got to admit , 3x12x200mph racing is pretty intense racing.
Its really amazing to me. No where else on the planet can you see this phenomena. The wrecks were kinda cool 15 years ago because they were so gigantic. Now I cringe because its a 30 minute caution and have to endure the interviews outside the care centers. |

how many championships has Murphy won again?
ask any driver in any series, if they'd win one single race or take the title, all of them would rather win the championship then just one race lol, even if it's Bathurst. |

Apologies for being off topic, but both P Brock and A Moffat agreed with Ambrose that Murhpy was at fault.
Anyone he undersells Ambrose's achievements in the US are kidding themselves. He had never raced on an oval before embarking on his NASCAR career and is up against guys he spent their entire life on ovals. |

World Motorsport Entertainment won't do anything until one of these cars goes through the fence and gives the fans who want to see crashes more than they bargained for.

Ambrose really seems to be getting on top of things, shame about the contact and the resulting carnage.
