everyone, another auzzie to watch out for is formula renault driver Ryan Briscoe...

Being the patriot that i am, i am a keen supporter of all auzzies in motor sports. another name that has recently been brought to my attention is Ryan Bricoe. This young bloke is currently leading the formula renault championship i believe, and be a rather considerable 40 odd points. impressive. i am going to keep my eye on him. he should be one to watch in the future. i have also heard that he has a long term contract with the toyota formula 1 team. can somebody confirm it?

Yep, Ryan is definitely a future prospect. He is leading, and has almost won, the Italian FRenault championship. It is being bank rolled by Toyota who have him on a long term contract. He will be doing F3 next year (can't remember where). He will probably get a test or two with Toyota next year in their F1 car.

ryan is doing f3 in germany in 2002.....he is up by 40 points in italian f renault with one round remaining - you get 30 points for a win, i must be missing something
