I know it's been a long time and I haven't watched F1 with a beer for ages, but that was just barking. Definitely a ten!

I was left a bit disappointed, maybe because my expectations were too high?
I gave it a 6.

It could have been a 7 or 8, but 1 points go away for all those unnecessary safety cars.
Did they forget to fuel the Virtual Safety Car?

Most of the action followed such a safety car, and hence felt a bit orchestrated.

Had everything other than rain, was the best season opener in recent years. 10.

For the Kimi one, at least, SC was the right call. They needed to have a period of time with no cars passing the workers on the track.

There I agree, but then again that accident happened because of the second safety car. It's unlikely they would have stopped again without that safety car.
They might have under a VSC, but I'm not so sure about that.

Wow. I have missed sport. Love the track. The grid penatly made the start interesting. The various safety cars made it delicious mayhem. Albon could have won it. Vettel continues to make his F1 biography even more bizarre. LeClerc put in a special performace. Norris is a delight.

It was brilliant, and I cant wait for next week

Not sure next week will be the same, surely the cars will have ironed out the problems that most seemed to have. Unfortunately that will probably mean a less eventful race.

I was wondering about that.

Work hours during the GP weekend are restricted (with some changes due to reduced staff numbers this year), but how many hours can they log during the week?

Will the cars go back to the factory or can they effectively have an extra day or two because no transport required?

This type of back to back adds a great dynamic.

You’re right great race.

Interestingly, people often hark back to the old days when unreliability was more of a thing. Unpredictable and nice to see the technology pushed to breaking. But I get what you say.

And, at the risk of being hypocritical in being off topic, I would like to say I do not consider pushing a End Racism message as political correctness. Not saying it because it might upset some people would potentially be political correctness.

It did not get the way of the race whatsoever.

A very well deserved 9! Nearly a golden 10 as I would have loved to see a good battle for the lead rather than a Mercedes domination. (Although I do love the All Black BLM scheme they have on the car)

10/10 for me. Not only is it great to have F1 back after a long break, but we got a great race too. Plenty of teething problems kept the race on edge and also meant we got a nice mix of cars in the top 10. And some different names at the front too. Plus some great battles and some crazy action too.

I only saw the highlights but enjoyed it. 7 for me. Good to see some mechanical frailty for a change mixing things up.

It's good to see a circuit that punishes drivers for making mistakes or pushing their luck with the kerbs. It adds an extra variable - do you go for ultimate lap time and clobber the kerbs risking the car or do you take a less aggressive approach but lose a bit of lap time? Good stuff.

The good thing is due to the terrain this circuit never be ‘perfect’ like some of the new circuits. It will always throw up a challenge. And the run offs are quite punishing with or without the kerbs

8, lots of action but no competition for mercy, they had to nibble Hamilton to make it interesting. Double standards, didn't give leclerc penalties last year when he bounced into hammy, beginning to feel like a set up scripted show

8 for me. Safety cars were a pain but I enjoyed the restarts.
