Just saw a clip on TV of the course half an hour before the start - slightly wet, and very light drizzle then.
Don't forget, second free saturday follows the first stint after a half hour break. Time for everyone to come here to sound off about what they think of the first stint. |

If anyone doesn't like the weather in Melbourne at any time, they only have to wait a couple of hours. I think the conditions were already dry towards the end, and it will be fine a around 22 degrees come quals.
You must admit it is still better than in England, right!! No surprises so far with Ferrari, McLaren and Williams at the top of the tree. I suspect Williams have already done their homework and are doing race set-ups by now. And what chances of a Ferrari win? |

And the other thingm the Jag looks to be slower than the Minardi, when there's a real driver in the black car.

to my disgust, Ferrari are actually looking good... they've got a good car
can't believe McLaren and Williams are 1+ secs behind Ferrari's 2001 car. Lets hope there's more to come from them!! |

I guess I need not worry about shelling out for pay per view when I move out of university halls and into a house in September. Same old, same old. And I thought that a lack of Mika would be made up for by having lots of exciting closeness...nooooooooooooooooo!

As I said on another thread, Ferrari might as well develop the F2001 for next year as well. I did not believe, for one moment, that htis was the same car as last year. They did a helluva lot of testing of this car as well, and it probably has this year's engine in it, or at least upped the specs from last year.

As i said on another thread, Ferrari did not tell you that they used last year's car without improving it. Rubens had said the F2001 used in Melbourne is faster than the one in Suzuka, there are reports saying what changes are done to the car, and even Badoer is reported doing new electronic testings one day before quals that are to be used. Why would you believe that this was the same car?!
