Fittipaldi fastest in morning practice
Continuing the Newmann Haas roll, Christian Fittipaldi set the quickest time Friday morning in the 90-minute practice session for Sunday's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Driving the Eli Lilly Toyota,/Lola, Fittipaldi edged his Newman/Haas Racing teammate Cristiano da Matta, who wound up second fastest in the Chevron Toyota/Lola. Chevron will be replacing Havoline as primary sponsor at Long Beach and at four other races this season. This is due to the Texaco/ Chevron merger last fall. Tora Takagi was third in the Pioneer/Denso Toyota/Reynard. Brack, Servia, Vasser, Jourdain, Kanaan, Bell, and Junquiera round out the top ten. Last edited by SevenGrain; 12 Apr 2002 at 18:21. |

No, Elli Lilly make Prozac. Which is weird, because the last few years it seems he has been driving on Prozac.
Maybe they also make these "go faster" tablets that SILVERS speaks of. |

Actually Eli Lilly makes a Viagra-type product called Cilias. Cilias will be the sponsor on the Fittipaldi car when the drug receives FDA approval.
It is supposed to be better than Viagra in that it lasts for 24 hours. |

Someone didn't do their demographics homework. I've thought about who would need that for 24 hours, and I concluded that porn stars and Middle-Eastern sheikhs with harems probably aren't really CART's target audience. To get back on topic, I think Christian is faster this year because he has a helluva car underneath him. Still not QUITE as quick as da Matta though. |

All they need to do now is combine Viagra with Prozac, and the human race will be set...
Is Newman-Haas the new Penske?? |
