1988 Revisited?
no matter who won todays farce.....at the end of the day it was a ferrari, are they going to win everyother race till the end of the season and actually surpase mclarens record of winning 15 out of 16 races by winning 16 out of 17?
i still think the williams of monty and rafe will come on stronger in the second half of the season, but judging by ferrari's speed today it does make me wonder? |

In 1988 the two drivers where allowed to race each other.
And both of them didn't mind having the other best driver in the world as a team mate. Great days. Even domination was better then!!!!!!! |

Hopefully we'll have a wet race sometime this season, which will give JPM, Kimi, Fisi and maybe even Jacques a shot. Would be great to have a wet Spa again, those are always fun. Schumi hates rain, and Reubens isn't too big a fan either. JPM and Jacques are like ducks.
Wins by a team in a season and career poles are probably the only records that will survive the Mafia era of Grand Prix racing. Last edited by Lee Janotta; 12 May 2002 at 23:38. |

1988 was different. There wasn't a thing called TEAM ORDERS!!!
And another thing during 1988: PASSING. Frankly though, it wouldn't surprise me to see Ferrari win most races. |

I think Ferrari in 2002 is way more dominant than Mclaren of 1998. Besides, I can recall Mika and David racing each other like normal racers should.

At least DC wasn't ORDERED to move over
DC had honour and abided by his AGREEMENT with Mika. He didn't have to but showed human decency in giving up a victory for his team-mate. TGF gets it written into CONTRACTS that his 'team-mate' MUST be ordered out of his way. TGF lacks (sporting) morals and humanity. |

red, mclaren let DC race mika even when the points situation was closer than now, so your comment has no basis

Well, not sure of that. Anyway, my comment is based on Australian Gp. Indeed, they "let" them race in 99 for example, and if I'm not very much mistaking those 2 comming together almost cost them WDC and they lost the WCC.

But it didn't, so that's the end of that argument.

Yes he did. Lost WCC. I bet that Mercedes men weren't exactly happy.

At least the WDC was won with honour, unlike most of TGF's titles, which have been won under clouds of protest, cheating etc.
This years title, in the eyes of the world except the tifosi, will mean nothing. There will be no recognised 2002 WDC from real racing fans. |

so what are you saying??
that we should have 1 car per team???? "well not sure of that" of course you are. the only time DC was told to heed to mika was when there was no chance of him to win the WDC |

And isn't that despicable? Why to deprieve him for his deserved moment of glory?
No, of course I don't want 1 car per team. Besides, it'll be boring. Only 1 championship? |
