Can David C beat Michael to the drivers crown this season? He's just twelve points trailing now. And he had six points taken from him already this season !

If there's ever going to be a time David Coulthard can pull it off, it's now.
He seems to have the momentum. The course of the events is definitaly his. He seems stronger, both physically and mentally. If this has something to do with the plane crash, I don't know. But after that tragic accident, Niki Lauda has said he will come out of it a stronger person. And Niki may be right. And if David manages to keep Hakkinen behind him in the points standings, he might get some help from the team. And I mean team orders. Ron Dennis can talk about 'no team orders at McLaren' as long as he wants, I don't believe he will allow Coulthard and Hakkinen to have a fight for the drivers crown with the risk of Schumacher walking away with it. So, to answer your question, yes, I believe David can beat Michael to the drivers crown this season. |

Quite right gerard. Although I would say that if anyone can beat Schumacher to the title that someone is DC....but I'm not so sure he can beat schu. 12 points is still a very respectable difference and both Ferrari and Schumacher are very strong this season. I would still put my money on Schumacher but I'll cheer for DC and pray for the miracle.
