Telefonica World Series latest
The open Telefonica World Series is now 3 race meetings (6 races) into the season. Some of our old faves are competing this year. What do we think of the series results so far?
Zonta 108 (has won 3 races and been on the podium for all 6 so far) Leinders 79 Montagny 70 Ravier 41 Viliberti 25 Wilson 24 (why only 24 points?) Sundberg 21 Sarandese 15 Vilarino 15 Karthikeyan 15 (disappointing - 3 DNF's but did come 3rd in one race) Couto 15 (expected better from him too) Garcia 15 Last edited by Francesca; 25 Jun 2002 at 12:25. |

This series is just Great. The cars are FABULOUS! Lots and Lots and Lots of great drivers.
Zonta - a Great Great talent that F1 should not afford to miss Leinders - looks like the old F3 champ Montagny - VERY GOOD racing skills, bad hair cut ! Wilson - ... maybe getting used to the car. Team is Great. Sundberg & Sarandeses - Familiar with tracks. Average drivers Karthikeyan & Couto - Just bad luck ... Couto got Pole and 2nd last time. |

Not so sure about Sundberg being average. Italian F3 champ and i saw him race in Japanese F3 a few times last yeart and he hauled a midfield car to the front. Tested for Minardi in F1 and did a great job. Not much money though...
