Scheckter to CART???
According to interviews with Thomas and his boss Eddie, it seems that he may be getting the boot soon, something about tearing up every IRL car he's ever looked at
Thomas goes on to say that he has been in contact with a few CART teams about a drive next year. What do you guys think of this kid? Who do you think he has talked to? I like his hard-charging attitude, but he needs to temper it somehow, maybe finish a race? |

Well, he's has some bad luck... the last time he crashed, he had a puncture actually...
Maybe Tomas' arrival would open the door to the Welkom oval... |

I find it hard to believe that a driver who can't cut it in the IRL should get a ride in CART. It's usually vice-versa. I'll give the kid credit though, in that he's fast. But I've only seen him race on the ovals, and he did have the benefit of a horsepower advantage with the Infiniti engine.

I think he'd actually do better in CART because of his road racing backround and beacuse he wouldnt have to worry about running over some moron or getting run over by one. Hideki Noda running into the back of him at Fontana was beyond incredible.
The guy was quick in F3, F3000, and was an F1 tester. He's not slow and he's a great racer |

God no!
Please lets not have another Mr Crasher in CART. We just got rid of the current one. |

Yeah, Our Paul has really cleaned up his act this year... but he seems to be going a lot slower now, which is no good for Team PaulWon'tCrash in the fantasy comp
Errr, who will he drive for? Will there be any teams left next season? |

Scheckter has been given a bum deal this year. Most of the times he's crashed it hasn't been his own fault, it's either been just plain inexperience at racing on ovals or something has gone wrong with the car.
Because of his road-racing experience, I think he'd do well in CART. |

I may be wrong but didn't his boss fire him into the wall last time out?
He's good and quick and with a win under his belt I think he'll get quicker and quicker! |

I think the guy may do well with a little tempering. His name may have some draw on the euro-marketing side too.
