Audi UK Could Run R8
It looks likely that Audi Sport UK could be entering a customer R8 in next years Le Mans and also a car in a European based series.
They are looking at budgets for next year, and it looks hopefull. Mr Johansson is looking to put together an Audi project for next year aswell. |

I'm seeing this as the second coming of the 917/10s circa 1973. And that's ok with me. Especially as long as there isn't a Penske 917/30 to spoil the fun .

I think Audi Sport UK would rather run an R8 in a European based series (which they have said) and not alms, which is obviously biased towards the states.
Sorry guys but we would like to see these european built cars race in Europe more than ounce a year. |

There is nowhere in Europe for them to race. The FIA sportscar championship would give any Audi a performance penalty and I don't even know if they'd let a GTP in. Bentley should be at sebring next year, at least thats something.

I hear that Audi UK could enter their car at LeMans and ALMS European round...
If they enter in FIA sportscar championship they will have penalties... |

Johnny Mac is trying to put a series of enduros in Europe. That is where they might be seen.
My understanding is that Steve Johnson and Audi UK would be joining forces. |

Let me see if I understand the order here
In 1998 VW buys Toyota Toms in norfolk and makes it Audi Sport UK, which RTN(racing technologies norfolk) has an association with Mr LLoyd(I think?)and RTN is now Apex Motorsport? I have no idea, East Anglia allways confused the hell out of me more thanthe rest of the UK |

RTN were appointed to build the EXP Speed 8 for Bentley.
Richard Lloyds APEX Motorsport with John Wickham as team manager were appointed to test and run the car for Bentley, with a small management team to oversee activities from Crewe. I believe on paper Apex and Audi Sport UK are not the same team, but in reality they probably share tool boxes shall we say. |
