Moneys Matters

Two things:

In the Australian Financial Review the other day there was a stor on Paul Little Racing. As the story goes, it says that Toll only pay $100,000 for the privledge of being the naming rights sponsor- what a bargain!

Secondly, and a whole lot less relevent level, The Daily Planet is trying to be floated on the ASX, and expand their operations. Oooo errrrr!

The Daily Planet float has been going on for a while now.

And what's brought on this sudden reading of the Finance Section - you get left some shares in a will?

Hehe, the Daily PLanet, ahhhh brings back memories of Doug Mulray at Bathurst, gee must have been about 1990'ish, when the Daily Planet Commodore (I think) stacked into the wall and caught fire, and Mulray said something like, "yes that was a bit of a cockup"

Shares- one word of advice- don't take advice from your mother with regards to how good Colonial First State is

Actually it was an interesting name that came up with relation to the Daily Planet article- a Mr Andrew Harris...

Most probably RT.

CB- Gricey was just getting in some early practice for the BRutes... man Gricey has been involved in some carnage this season...

Also interesting that Trimble/Trimbole/Trimbol's son raced in QLD FFord last season, but no sign of him this year...

i remeber when I was working at Bthurst in 1992 the year that Trimble BBQ the Commodore after hitting the wall under the Bridgestone bridge.

Being young and naive I couldn't work out why they had 2 transporters in the paddock. We later worked out that 1 was for the cars and the other for the uummmm working girls

I remeber back 1989 at Winton when Frank Gardner tried to stab Gricey with a golf umbrella

Not sure, but he should have been getting Longhurst, after all he was in an RS500 getting beaten by an old Commodore, then again, did Gardner ever need an excuse to go after Grice.

Grice had punted Longhurst off at the esses and as it was pouring with rain he got stuck there. Anyway after the race Gardner walked up behind Grice and jabbed him with the umbrella and said "You never F**king change do you". After withch Grice threw a glass at Gardner and then Les Smalls crew and Longhurst restrained there various people. So it is easy to see a few years later at Winton that it was not only driving the longhurst learn't from Frank

Agreed, funny it happened at exactly the track.

With the Grice/Longhurst incident though, remember Longhurst tapped Grice first, and as Grice corrected on the way back he hit Longhurst into the mud. Funny that he rejoined right infront of him a lap down.

On the Planet being floated, if it's as down as it was last weekend (well, the penrith one at least) from now on, the price won't be too high for long.

The Daily Planet in Penrith is a Night Club in a Hotel (I know the owner, he is a prick)
The Daily Planet in Melbourne is a Brothel (I know the owner he is a prick)
The two Daily Planets are not related but as you can see there are some similarities.

If they cant work out what to do with a Safety Car or jump start, what makes you think they would know what to do with a freebie?

I know a few Stewards who'd know exactly what to do with a Freebie.....

But then again, why do you think they're often called The Stupids?

While gricey may have his fair share of racing incidents, i can't recall him having more than two for a full year of racing, of which only one would be his fault, which is pretty good i reckon, and also considering he always drove 10/10ths whenever he was on the track.

Btw racer69 can you check your private messages, it may not be working again like last time, i can send videos you wanted.
