the plate of gold is actually a gold plated driveway into CART team ownership. ESP makes it simple. There's a lot of money there for grabs... cheap reynards for sale, bankrupt team assests...

Are you suggesting that he's going to start up a CART team of his own? I guess it would make sense, in that why else would he give up partial ownership in a team just to be an employee for another?

But it's not exactly uncommon for team members of all descriptions to float around from team to team. I wonder where the pot of gold is coming from?

Hey, Halliday and Barry Green go way back. I can remember Halliday driver self designed Vee's in NZ in the 70's. don't read too much into it though. Steve Horne and Halliday got on well too. Adrian hasn't had a happy year and maybe it is just the result of friction on the team direction.
