What do you mean by 'terrible job'? That car won its race - it has 900bhp with full boost!
I can't tell you the engine HP of the Cooper, but it is an F500 machine. It has a 500cc engine. Perhaps a bloke like Gerard or Peter may know a little more - they seem to have books about everything!! |

I can't tell you anything about the engine HP, that's something for the techy guys around here.
The picture of the Cooper (What make?) seems to me like a Cooper-Jap also, looking at the grill of the car. And the Jaguar D-type did win Le Mans three times. In 1955 with Hawthorn and Bueb, in 1956 with Flockhart and Sanderson, and in 1957 with Flockhart and Bueb. |

Great pictures Graham
It makes me even sicker now I can see what I missed that weekend ! Any photos of the Cologne Capri ? Anyone going to be at Silverstone on Sunday, I'm armed with loads of film and a digital camera so hopefully there'll be some photos up here on Monday. Jeff |

Cologne Capri - yes, but not in this batch of films. Hopefully soon.
Silverstone - nope. Good luck with the catch fencing. There's the stand at Luffield, or there's the very top of the grandstand at Abbey. Haven't been to 'stone for a while. Too bloody far. PS. Why would you need a load of films for a digital camera? |

I'm giving up on 400asa (Kodak Ultra). Too grainy and all the pics seem very, very grey. You can see what I mean from the Ferrari pic above. ******. Looks like it was overcast but it was brilliant sunshine.
You tried Kodak Zoom? Even grainier. 200 for me from now on. Might try 100 too - at Combe with the sunshine, the EOS was trying to take pics at between 500 and 750th/sec which is too fast. No wheel movement shown at that speed. Have you seen www.o-boyle.com/racing/? Nikon D1 he uses and the pics are so vibrant and clear. I think I'd happily buy one if I had the moolah, because it would save me so much money in the long term and I could take as many pics as I wanted using a big memory card. |

Not a chance I'm afraid. Didn't even know there was a meeting... anyway, I could not afford it right now. What's racing?
I'll probably be at Yeovil Festival of Transport. |

Well at Thruxton... you have 2 choices really... either at the Chicane or at the Complex. Most of the circuit is not open to the public, actually its probably about half open now.. But i would advise that you walk as far round the track as you can, because they recently opened a new bank - from which you can see miles..
I'm marshalling at the start of the Complex (apparently).. Cheers Lee, very good holiday - plenty of cheap Spanish beer, so now in rehab... |

At Thruxton I always sit at the far right-hand side of the public grandstand, about 2 rows up. It's a good position.
Pity more of Thrux isn't walkable. Would be great to take pics at Church - dangerous also, I guess |
