They said they would start going for race times at this test,so it is all going 'OK'.
Yes it is frustrating for us but they are just doing things methodically and properly.Of course even if it is a 'dud'(in the williams sense!),they'll still keep working at it like last year. So much for the great williams of the past though-allways fast straight out of the box....... |

he he. RWC, that is the trouble with testing (as we all keep saying). If that was with full tanks then maybe it is quick out of the box. Maybe. I think the only way to judge a new car (and even this isn't that reliable) is by the drivers first impressions. Maybe things like whether they like the feel or if it responds to changes are more important at this stage? We'll see. |

BTW: Test times don't mean much.
Note that Renault was right there with JPM and Ralf is .5secs ahead. That would indicate to me that they weren't even reasonable results if you consider what they were trying to accomplish. (in other words test times don't mean much ) |

This test certainly dosent mean much. Mclaren, Ferrari and Toyota werent there, had they been at the test today I think the results would be very differnt..

Well, actually Toyota and Jordan had tested there several days back and Mac and Ferrari with their old cars. The times that Willy did are still behind Jordan's and Toyota's new contenders' and certailny more than 1 full second than Mac's....
Of course, it's only testing and we don't know what they really tested there... |
