Mallory Park 30/3 - Thanks
At the Mallory Park meeting on Sunday I was involved in a large accident on the exit out of Gerards. Together with another car I ended up on my roof and was so dis-orientated I couldn't get out of my car, so I was in effect trapped inside.
Within a matter of seconds a door was opened and a very calm voice asked if I could get out, which I did. Every one who attended to the accident was very calm and professional, which had a wonderful calming effect on me as I felt I was in very safe hands. At the time I never really thanked anybody for their assistance, my mind was elsewhere, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Marshalls and Medics who looked after me on Sunday. Thank you very much, your efforts are very much appreciated. |

Martin, glad to see you were ok-I couldn't see anything from the hairpin. Hopefully see you out again this year.

Kaybee, I forgot to put on my Ingear hat and I never got to Gerrards...where were you? Did the inside of the Esses during qualifying-the sun was perfect! Then did the rest of the meeting mainly from the hairpin area! Chartman...watched you lock-up into the hairpin and then run wide the lap before you went missing! That might have been on the Autosport film though cant be sure? Don't usually miss the shunts but my mate Dave (of Blackwidow vidio fame) must have got it on video-he was at the Esses while his other cameraman was at Gerrards entry. He produces a crash/incident video which competitors/marshals/enthusiasts can aquire and can be seen at Castle Combe's Quarry corner etc most meetings. Will you be able to get the car ready soon or is it to far gone?

We, Dave and I, were at Esses Out and had to walk the plank every time the Legends appeared. I had my 10/Tenths hat on so if you'd come to visit us you would have seen it. Dave has just told me that he thinks he may have met you, whilst he was track sweeping with Fay, but didn't connect Barry with Baz . He also thinks that you may have followed us into the Paddock at the end of the day. You would have seen me because I was on waved yellow duty at the end of racing.

Aaah right, I saw Dave Price and I did "walk the plank" during that tiresome GT/Saloon "race" on my way up to the hairpin for the Mighty Mini race, oh well, perhaps next time unless you at Don'on Sunday!

Baz, with work commitments it looks like we'll have a couple of months work before we're back racing. Aiming to be back for Snetterton or Pembrey. I remember locking up at the hairpin but that manouver faded into insignificance half a lap later.
See you later in the season, will try and keep everyone up to date with the cars progress. |

Chartman, I too was at the hairpin but will pass on your thanks to the Old Postman and his small ginger side-kick.
