Leinster Motor Club - Anglesey May 10th/11th
The Leinster Motor Club (Ireland) are organising a two day race meeting at Anglesey over the weekend of May 10th/11th
The event is "Badged" by the JCC and promises to be a great race weekend. If anyone fancies marshalling this, please send me a PM and I will pass on your contact details. As always, particularly looking for flag and Observers. |

What are they racing? It's either something back in Wales or the Cadwell Bemsee meet...decisions, decisions...

I'm not entirely sure what's racing (I was hoping EP might come to the rescure here) but I think there may be some of the Champion of Oulton FF1600 playing on at least one of the days.
I think there's some of the Irish R2000 (?)as well! |

I don't have a list of the cars that are going over as yet - MRMCI have not been asked to marshal the event, it's being done by JCC - however, I'm told that the Vees will not be there.
None of the classes appear to have this on their calendar as a championship round, so who will be there is difficult to say. I've heard rumours that the Dunlop Supercars (formerly RT2000s) will be travelling over. I don't know about any other classes though. Best bet is to email LMC - leinstermc@eircom.net Sorry I can't be more help! |

I'll be there (in green) but I'm disappointed that the Dunlop supercars won't be there too.

Sorry Jim - we're definitely not going. It has been noted that any marshal from Ireland that wishes to attend and is prepared to pay their own travel and accommodation will be allowed to marshal, but that's about it. At present, I'm not aware of anyone from our side going over to marshal. MSRS will be sending a rescue unit but dat's it.

However, anyone wishing to marshal can do so by contacting the JCC |

So I was half right. Well that's a better strike rate than my average.

Well I went - and it was a wicked two days - nice to meet you by the way, wickedwitch...
Bit scary being put on a post on my own at my first car meet, but what can you do when there are only 7 marshals? I think I did alright - they were dropping like flies at my post in the first few practice sessions! |

Yes, you did very well Logrence, and it was nice to meet you too.
7 marshals - that was all. Low in quantity but high in quality. |

Oh and By the way - that wasn't me who radioed in to race control asking if the Rescue Unit would be considered as a late entry for the Closed Wheel Formula Libre Race which only had 3 entrants at that point. I can't tell you who it was but she is a very naughty doctor indeed.
Also, thanks a mil to all who helped in getting the Rescue Unit back in shape after her illness on Saturday morning. |
