750MC, Oulton 26/5
Anyone have the details for the 750 MC meeting at Oulton this coming Monday (26/5) ? Sure I volunteered, haven't received any info or tickets yet.
If someone can let me know the signing on time, then just have to blag way in past security w/o tickets. |

Signing on is from 7:45AM to 8:30AM.
Don't worry about tickets, you don't need them for Oulton - just show your MSA card. |

I sent tickets out last Thurs/Fri so they should have arrived (first class post) but as said, your grading card will get you in. Any problems you can contact me on 01206 502064 before Sunday and then on 07802 505588. Sign on times are as stated above and signing on for incident is Scrut bay and others bottom of Race control (if I can find it after the changes)

i had the scariest moment ever on the outside of fosters. in the stock hatches a silver 205 came hurtling across the grass straignt towards us and the armco....we were just starting to run when a very kind driver wend around the corner and was tboned.....if it wasnt for that we would have had another red flag and armco rebuild....the speed he was goin it would have made a big mess

750MC could show BRSCC and BARC how to run a meeting.
Convoying cars around the circuit whilst the clearing up was going on is bound to save time because the grid can be formed ready to go when Walter and the recovery crews have finished. If it saves only a couple of minutes a time that's 20 minutes for 10 races. When was the last time we had 2 or 3 flag marshals on every post, more than enough observers, and more incident marshals than I've seen at Oulton in a long time? It says something about the club and its racing I think. Mind you, Mallory at the start of the year had even more if the queue to sign on that reached half way down the paddock was anything to go by. |

When you think about it really.....if a club gives us a biscuit in the morning, they're the best club in the world......if a club finishes a bit later than the timetable says, then they're the pits! We're easily pleased I guess and easily P***ed off! We'll be on about the weather next....too hot for marshalling......too bloody cold.....too wet to write a reoprt....too windy to flag....I think we should just turn up in a morning, sign on and spend 9 hours just moaning at each other for the sake of it!! :-)

i AM SURE WE AT 750 WOULDN'T LIKE TO THINK WE ARE CAUSING ANY PROBLEMS. We can get away with shorter races as we appeal to the cheap end of the market (low cost racing). Keeping to 10 laps keeps the price down. When you get involved with the big boys (like BRscc/barc/... do), they want to spend more and get value.
We also get away without green flag laps on some of our formula so benefit from using a parade car. Its horses for courses and you can't really compare us. I'd like to think all clubs do whatever they can to please the marshals within their own financial and organisational limitations. |
