Reims video/DVD

Following on from my previous thread:
http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...ighlight=reims
Do you know if there is a video or DVD that has footage of racing on the old Frenach circuit Reims?

After I visited Rouen I managed (quite easily) to get a copy of Rouen 1962. Great stuff. Does anyone know of anything similar for Reims.

Thanks

I must admit (as a GPL addict), I'd love to get hold of some decent length/quality footage from Reims and Rouen (and elsewhere). Not just little snippets, I mean.

I also have a desire to go and visit those old decrepit pit buildings. I've no idea why.....

I must resist the temptation to post loads of pictures...

Aysedasi, the Rouen video is easy to get from Duke (or similar). As well as having lots of fottage of the 1962 French Gp, it also contains footage of the 1964 British Grand Prix (at Brands) along with the Saloon car race at that meeting too!

Rob, indeed, it appears to be on vol 1 of those. Hmmmm. Getting hold of them (on DVD?). 15 quid a pop, I might have to just get vol 1 for now...

There's also footage on the "History of Motor Racing - 1950s" by Neville Hay's production company, which was broadcast a few years back by Sky as "The Golden Age of Motor Racing". It is only snippets though - the start of the (I think) 1954 GP and the moment where Colin Chapman failed to qualify a Lotus in 1958!

Something for you.....How about the 1959 race ?

http://www.britishpathe.com/product_...2&Search.y=19#

If that link does not work, then....
http://www.britishpathe.com/ then search for Rheims Grand Prix (Note incorrect spelling) You can then get a free download or pay for the whole film.

Probably find whole loads of motor racing stuff on there as well.

I have a few of those Golden Age programs on tape. Was it part of that A-Z program they did.

Thanks SL. I'll give that a download.

David, yes, when talking about it to some (non-motorsport) French friends they didn't have a clue what we were talking about until we got out a map. Turns out we pronounced it very wrong too!

Rams? Never heard it pronounced that way.

Thanks for the info anyway. I'll have to go and chase down some of those links (when I'm not hard at work - like now..... )
