Changes
Has ANyone here ever recalled so many changes going on in NASCAR's top division in a 1 year period before?
We have Brian France named the new CEO,that was effective immediately,Sunoco fuel replacing the long-time supplier of fuel Union 76,and finally,the series gets a new name as well,with the Winston Cup Series(1971-2003)becoming the Nextel Cup Series beginning in 2004 season,in a ten year deal. Probably Nextel coming into the sport. Winston has been with NASCAR for over 30 years. Most people only know it by the Winston Cup series and not know it was originally called the Grand National Division. Most fans will probably have a tough time calling it the Nextel Cup series at first, I know I sure will.
