Volvo Enters SCCA Speed WC GT
Volvo has entered speed GT with a group of s60Rs. With three to four cars per event the top driver will be none other than Derek Bell.

For certain, the once SWC GT, and now perhaps Super Touring

good news, so we'll have factory teams from cadillac, audi and volvo and all racing sedans, be interesting to see how they go against the M3's vettes, 911's, and vipers

cant wait!! Hopefully they make a second trip to LRP with ALMS in the summer because I wont be able to see em memorial day...which sucks cause ive seen em once a year since 02...maybe mosport...

this was a super secret wasn't it? I had heard no rumors or stories or anything- GT is turning into SuperTouring with Audi, Caddy, now Volvo? and what is the motor?
Volvo turboI6? or 5, and what are this things specs? goody goody. So is it a GT? ha ha hai bet Ayse is turning red in the face |

This was super secret. Volvo kept it very tightly concealed for some time. That, and with everyone looking at and speculating about the Caddies, no one was looking to the Swedes.
It will be an exciting season I think. The stock S60R uses a 2.5 liter, 5 cylinder turbo. I dont know if they are basing the WC engine off the same one or not. |

I just got confirmation that it is running the inline 5 cylinder turbo. It is also rumored to have been co-developed with Cosworth.
