Piper LMP Design
Does anybody know what has happened to this design?
I know it was used as a basis for the new LMP regs, but I remember (not sure where) that the Piper Design company was offering it to the marketplace. |

They apparaently have sold one car to a current FIA SCC team.
They need more orders before going ahead with the project. |

Not on this one I'm afraid guys - sounds like a similar story to lola's earlier this year - they need customers to make production economically viable

A Piper official confirmed the 'sale' earlier this year but stated they needed around 4/5 car sales or full spares packages to make the building of the car economically viable.
Lola have delayed the sale of their new car until 2005, while they test and develop the new car during 2004. However it seems they now do have enough interest, for 2005, to go ahead and build the car. |
