Gaz should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Snetterton F3 test

Right just had a look at the morning test times and that guy Fauzy's at the top yet again! A dissapointing 15 cars only ran this morning, no P1 or Menu or ADR? Lewis Hamilton's also out running his Dallara-Mercedes along with Zwolsman.

Morning times

1.Fauzy 1.01.099
2.Dirani 0.206
3.Piccione 0.292
4.Rossiter 0.347
5.Asmer 0.395
6.Hamilton 0.596
7.Chandhok 0.634
8.Parente 0.678
9.Thompson 0.789
10.Di Grassi 0.790
11.Piquet Jnr 0.930
12.Zwolsman 1.231
13.Calasan 2.474
14.Lewis 2.562
15.Walker 2.606

No menu!opps I meant no Will Davison! I'm right in thinking he's upto something at the Aussie GP this weekend I think with Will Power which would probably explain his absense as well. But wheres Alex?

Right combined times are in -

1. Fauzy 1.01.099
2. Piccione 0.109
3. Parente 0.136
4. Dirani 0.204
5. Rossiter 0.347
6. Asmer 0.395
7. Piquet 0.417
8. Di Grassi 0.548
9. Hamilton 0.576
10. Chandhok 0.634
11. Thompson 0.789
12. Zwolsman 1.130
13. Lewis 1.543
14. Walker 1.586
15. Calasan 2.472

James Walker really struggling at the bottom of the timesheets there and Lewis Hamilton I expected better from. Still well done to Fauzy

Told you Fauzy wasn't bad, eh?

Good to see the Flying Scotsman (tm) showing again that he can mix it with the hyped boys - in the morning anyway...,

I'm very impressed with old Mr Fauzy yes! But Richard Antinucci did this two years ago and then was nowhere come the opener! Mr Thompson's down the pack a bit Mathias, although he is only 7 tenths off the pace

Gaz I popped into Donington on my way to a meeting this morning and P1, ADR and Performance were testing all day with Power, Lloyd, Viso and Jelley plus loads of Porky GT3 Cup cars and 5 Ferrari 360's. Yap and Donnally were testing FF1800's. Neil Cunningham was out in a Morgan Aero8. Tim Sugden and John Cocker were out in the Tech9 GT3 RS that they will be racing in British GT this year.

Cheers Redracer! seems strange for them to stay away from Snett as it was an official test day. Shame it still seems that Mr Carroll isn't out in a P1 Dallara

Viso seemed to be driving an old car today. A brand new one seemed to be sat in the garage all day.

Similar to what happened at Oulton last week. Viso was driving Billy Asaro's old motor and then swapped to a new one in the afternoon. Hope it means that he's keeping it warm for the man in question to hop in

Thompson "only" 7/10ths off!! That's slow, and he's not exactly a rookie anymore.........

Weren't you saying on a nother thread that Hitech haven't really shown their hand yet? Maybe they're just, er, pacing themselves... anyway, Hamilton's nearly 6 tenths off the pace -that's slow, or are you counting him as a rookie?

How much can you really look into these times anyway? It's just a warm up. Where are the times from by the way, Gaz? MST?

Hamilton was running on Kumho rubber and with the old Mercedes Benz engine so his time shouldn’t be comparative to the other runners.

Yep I do believe Hitech are pacing themselves but Mr Thompson is still off the pace of his rookie team mates Asmer and Di Grassi. I know he’s outpaced James Walker but I’m beginning to change my mind on him. He seems to really be struggling to get to grips with F3. It’s only testing anyway and come the real thing anything could happen it’s just I haven’t seen anything from Mr Thompson in the last 2 years to suggest he’s going to be a regular runner even in the top 10.

You can view the times on my site but you’d probably be better off downloading the PDF on MST. You can look at the sector times and everything on there which makes interesting reading.

By the way BIG news today for anyone that doesn’t yet know is that Adam Carroll has signed up with P1 for the full season! Fantastic or what!?

That is indeed great news about Adam Carroll.

I think he was at Donington Park yesterday (why not P1's local circuit, Snetterton?), but only did a few laps due to an engine problem. Hopefully everyone will be out together again at Oulton Park next week and then we might see the true state of play.

P1, ADR and Performance went to Donington to evaluate the new Avon rubber on the circuit as obviously its the first race of the season there. I expect all the runners to be out to play at Oulton next week! So over the moonly happy Adam's signed as I really see the fights between him and Piquet being spectacular!

Was yesterday the only chance to test at Donington before the first race then? I thought there was a FOTA test booked in three weeks or so.

Glad you are over the moonly happy Gaz, but suspect Piquet may not be!
