Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships
Does anyone know where results can be viewed from the first round of the Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships?
Natsoft and Racetime dont seem to have them posted - which is strange because they are always quite efficient in putting the results on their respective sites. |

tiko - I was asked about this earlier today and, to be honest, was not even aware the meeting was on.
But - if you recall, during the 'heated' threads about this series going to SA, I did mentione one of the potential problems would be lack of results from Mallala. The timekeepers at Mallala seem to have this funny idea about posting results on the Internet - I have heard horror stories from being asked for extra money to do it right through to 'We can't afford the telephone calls!!! Just so you know - RaceTime receives an automatic email whenever a Natsoft result is posted and, so far, there is absolutely nothing...one of two things is now likely to happen: 1. By some miracle someone will get off their arse tomorrow afternoon and post results - however, based on past performance from Mallala - very unlikely or 2. Possibly sometime next week, or even t during the following month, the timekeepers will accidentally connect to the INternet and the results will be posted to Natsoft - but this will be a pure accident. (And before anyone starts to mention about the additional work required to post these results - it takes literally 3 keystrokes for the whole meeting - the rest is fully automatic.....so there is NO excuse for not posting and there is NO set up costs or costs other than a phone call.... |

andy - as said - if (and when) they become available they will be available through RaceTime - but we are dealing with 19th century attitudes here.

abr944, I was there today and I can tell you that Mark Buick (a South Australian of course) won from the two Rose boys in Race 3 of the 944 Challenge.
Also of interest, Andrew Moffat charged up from the back of the field in R3 to finish about 6th |

And you would think with having Eric Bana racing they would have made a bit deal out of it. Although I will say it was the first time I have seen a local meeting mentioned on prime time News in Adelaide. Go Figure.

I notices on the SCC website that there were 211 entries for the meeting. Bl***Y heck thats a lot for a round at Mallala (Non V8 round that is). My other was there doing some testing on Friday & he said it was crazy, hadn't seen so many on a practice day in ages. "Hollywood comes to Adelaide"

It's interesting that Ken Douglas was able to place First and Second in the final U2L SS race.

00 XR8, Yes, that is Allan's other son....
Unfortunately he got caught up in that huge turn 2 incident in FF where the U Drive Van Diemen turned upside down... Big year in FF this year.. |

Mark Buik got my vote for the performance of the weekend!!
IT was the first time that he had driven the car (and the car had been driven)this weekend, as a matter of fact, the car was still in bits on Wednesday. To end the weekend with 2 wins was certainly a good effort |

I would like to retract that last comment. I don't want to get involved with any Political *****yness. Why let that spoil an excellent weekend!

OOOOHHHHHH now come on hoffy, be nice.
Yes I had a look at the entry list & you are correct, more than half were from Vic, unless there are a lot of newies from SA. I didn't recognise most of the names. |

Considering what was said prior to the event I wonder how many of the participants have arrived back yet considering it's 9:45pm and if it was held in Victoria they would have arrived back hours ago.
