Reminder to all drivers
Please, please, PLEASE...
Make sure that your safety equipment is fastened correctly when you're out on circuit, whether it is belts, helmets, overalls, or whatever. An incident this last weekend where a drivers helmet came off in an impact could have been a lot worse had the car rolled, or the ruptured fuel tank ignited, both of which could easily have happened on another day. They may be uncomfortable to wear, but they're there for a purpose. Don't be loosening the straps once the scrutineer has wandered off, for example. Rant over, thank you. Al |

Well said Al. Can I add my pennorth - if you are driving a saloon car, make sure the drivers side window is closed up far enough for no part of your anatomy to escape in the event of an incident. If you need to have the window open (and apparently it has been proven that this actually slows you down) then have a properly fitted window net.
