GB Porsche Carrera Cup

After the poor grids of last year, there are 16 cars on the grid to start this season.

Disappointing turn-out.

I'd been hoping for 18-20.

A fun race to watch though and looks great fun - especially around the fast Thruxton circuit.

I just wish some more would paint their cars colours other than white! That alone is a reason to support Westbrook!

I haven't found out why Tim Harvey had a poor race pace though. Was there a reason?

Tim says he broke a shocker with too much 'touring car' style kerb hoping!

Also John Hindhaugh likes the noticeable green Westbrook car too!

Every serie in the Europe has low turn-outs.

Fields are running back, but 16 is a nice number, saw it on MotorsTV

I have been at Thruxton all weekend. The 1st race was a bit boring IMO. Missed the 2nd race. decided to head for home. In fact after following TOCA Tour around the country for the last year I am yet to see a Porsche race. Give me the Clio's far more fun and you never have a bad Clio race............

After the poor turn outs in the last few years with about 6 runners, 16 is positively huge!

Except LMES and Brit GTs - both seem to be booming

He maybe doing the international championship which supports the F1, rather than the British Championship.

I would guess it must be something to do with costs. Remember when the series was multi-class? Regular grids of 20+. As a marshal I've seen a number of Porsche races, and I've never yet seen one that would make me think it deserves a slot on the TOCA bill. If it wasn't for the factory support, I'm sure the series would have died out by now.
