I, for one, would love to see BMW drop in a V8 and go racing. Not to mention, that 5.0 liter V8 out of the M5 would do wonders for putting the M3 ahead of the Porsche's in the ALMS and LeMans. |

Rumors abound that BMW is already working on their 4.0 liter V8 powerplant. With their ties to Williams GP, and their history of success producing Renault Laguna BTCC challengers, I think a collaboration is surely in the works. Surely BMW will not allow Mercedes, Audi, and Opel to race in a class of cars that they are famous for owning the market in.
