BAR not penalized?
Have the rules for the warmup lap changed? I thought for sure that the 2 BARs were in front of MS shortly after they left the grid. I thought they had to stay in order, especially at the front. Was MS waiting for RB?

What are you talking about, that was some of the best passing all weekend!
They seem to be looking the other way on that as MS passed KR on the warm up last race..... |

It's really only if the car that overtook was doing it in some sort of delibrate fashion and/or they could of avoided it. In this instance BAR where away quickly and TGF was not and of course RB was not moving therefor BAR would argue their drivers, especially Sato, had RBs car to worry about rather than TGF. It happens quite a bit especailly in the midfield when leaving the grid but it, so far as I see, sorted within 200 meters.
Basically it's better to overtake than hit them. |

I don't remember the BAR's ever getting ahead of Schumacher, but they did go past Barrichello.
As it was all sorted out there was no need to penalise the BARs or Rubens (as he got going before the last on the grid passed him). The rule isn't there to penalise those that pass because the other is slow, more to stop people randomly shooting off past the guy ahead despite the guy ahead moving off normally. |

Sato was certainly ahead of Schumacher in the first corner. He seemed to get out of the way as quickly as he could, and it was directly related to the way the Ferraris got away slowly on the warm-up lap.

I don't remember Sato passing Schumacher as well. As for Rubens, that's not an issue. Rubens kinda stalled, at least he got away like 1-2 seconds after the green light. The rules allow other car to pass, under certain situations. The rules also allowed Rubens to pass any car till he rejoins his place in the pack, provided he can start his car before last car passed him.

Actually, i believe what you saw was RB coming to pass the BAR at the first corner after he had trouble leaving the grid.
