why what did you get involved in? Had to watch from the sidelines since Andy recovering from his brain op. Wanted to check he did not overtire himself. It did look as though people were having an active day.

He didn't get involved in anything!

He and I were also watching from the sidelines. The marshals did look busy though!

Had the pleasure of post 5 - nice and busy day...

Things seemed to throw themselves at us in 3's (Porsches & F Renault) and a couple of interesting BTCC spills kept the day lively - big thanks to Chris Johnson & Iain for keeping everyone in check and for an enjoyable day.

Nope I just sat back with a pretty girl and some champagne - I paid a brief visit to one marshals post whilst chatting to our own SG...

I've Marshalled on just 1 event this year - taking a year off and competing. Last year I nearly won my clubs most marshallin person award.

However from where was sat it did look like fun - a few strange SC periods though?

I was marshalling on post 9 all weekend with Georgina, and she was a real s**t magnet on Saturday. BTCC first practice, Anthony Reid drove straight at us bouncing off the barriers where we had been stood. He didn't even have the decency to stop anywhere near us. Made us run all the way across to just opposite post 23. Then he got stroppy about getting out and coming with us to hide behind the barriers.

Penultimate race of the day, the magnet worked its magic again and a Clio spun in towards us sending us running up the bank. He snapped off 8 posts and split another 4 or 5!!! The armco was almost flat to the slope of the bank!
We were having a good laugh at how many people it takes to decide that a bit of armco is knackered. There were at least 9 vehicles there at one point; Manatou, JCB, course car, doctor's car, another course car, two transits, a truck... and a Ford Fiesta van - we knew it was serious when that turned up!

Thankfully, she left the magnet at home on the Sunday and we had a quieter day.

Phill

There were so many crashes up at 5 that in order to save space during the F Renault race, they took to parking on top of one another

Sam, was that you that spoke to SG at the fence by Post 4? If it was, shame on Mr Green for not doing the intros. I was at that Post and wondered if it was you, when you arrived. Still I'll catch you later now I can put a face to a name. Shame, but what the heck there's always another day.

I looked out for a few of you but didn't see anyone I know. Not to worry I have just finished your 10 pack of donuts.
