Is Dereck Daly wrong on the Judd?
At Sebring Dereck Daly talked about the P2 entry of Intersport as having a Formula One engine (ie the V10) and how it was fast, nosy, and reliable.
At Petite Le Mans he alluded to the same thing on the P1 B162 If I'm not mistaken, the Judd is the V8 that ran in the Barbor Reynards in 2001 and is not the V10 that has been used by Tarus, Intesport B2k/10, Doran, etc. If so, Daly needs to research just a little bit. A bit like Bill Adams getting the displacment on the Audi wrong twice last year at Sebring when comparing it to the Bentley. |

Daly is wrong. The engine in Intersport's Lolas (both P1 and P2) is the 3.4 liter V8 Judd. Not to point out foilbles, but John Hindy's counterpart on Radio Le Mans has said on multiple ocassions that the Lola B01/60 has no front springs/dampers, that all its suspension compliance is generated by the flexures...
2nd to last image on page, note the spring/dampers visible (last image shows flexures)... http://www.mulsannescorner.com/Lola675-2.html |

One of them kept saying how nice it was to hear the 12 cylinder wail from the RISA Ferrari 360 Modena. I think as built it only has 8, the risa boys sure did a good job fitting the other 4.

Some of their incompetence in broadcasting is just in-excusable.
No spring or dampers? Did he see the shot of Le Mans 2002 when the MG works efforts were making adjusmtments to the springs with the nose bodywork off. |

You should hear spanish coverage of Formula 1, the "journalist" saying that the exposed tyres created no appreciable drag...
