The Chariot Makers by Steve Matchett

I was given this book as a graduation present the other day and I must say it is a great book and I am really enjoying it(not finished yet). I am loving the amount of insight that it has given me to my favourite sport. Have any of you read it? Have any of you read Matchett's other books? Are they worth reading?

Steve Matchett, one of the greats in Formula 1 insight. If he writes a book, its worth the read, buy it! Terrific reading to any F1 addict.

I've had mixed exoerience with his writings. Some of the things he says are obviously wrong and just opinon.
Still-he gives awsome inside knowledge into the sport that allmost no-one else ever does.*Well* worth buying overall

Both "Life in the Fast Lane" and "The Mechanics Tale" are good reads and give a different angle on F1 and the life inside the sport.

Will look for "The Chariot Makers".

I've seen anecdotes written by Steve Matchett which directly contradict the words of other people involved in the same situations and incidents.

Yes, he seems to be a bit controversial, but he's managed to forge a career after his mechanic days. Don't think Johnny Herbet's a fan though!
