storm in 2005 and beyond...
if the ACO and FIA-GT regs are unified in 2005, what does this mean for the Lister Storm? can it still be raced in FIA-GT, and if so can it now run in the LMES, ALMS, LeMans, etc.? or will homologation rules remain seperate allowing the storm in FIA-GT but still not in ACO races?

asfarasiknow the lister GT homologation is nothing more than a thankyou for commitment of lister to the series in times of change and shrinking grids.
The ACO has no bones in that basket,so there´s no lister (GT)in aco races but there´s no lister in FIAGT next year aswell ,or what? |

The "beyond" won't be very long for the Storm GTS. This car has pretty much reached the end of its competitive life, and Lister is putting all its effort into the LMP. Yes it will still be homologated for FIA-GT but it won't be competitive.
Lister would have to build a run of road cars to obtain ACO homologation but I don't see that happening. |

Does anyone have a picture of a road-going Lister Storm? I'm given to understand they exist...

I'm pretty sure Lister will concentrate on their LMP1 car. The car has improved steadilly throughout 2004 and was very quick, in race spec, at the Silverstone LMES event. On DSC, Laurence Pearce claims the hybrid Lister LMP will be capable of a 2.05 at Spa with the larger restrictors, aero/engine improvements etc. That compares with a 2.10 this year! i never understood how lister managed to fit a v12 jag engine under such a small looking bonnet, at first i just assumed it was mid engined.

No pictures, and I don't know if it was the same car, but a Storm with the registration plate shown in the above link overtook the coach I was in on the way to Le Mans.
Rich R - the engine is set so far back in the race car, it is almost entirely in the passenger compartment rather than the engine bay. |

so it's a comfortable 2 seater then, that's why they sold so many road going examples.
