Bargs - a POSITIVE thread
Mark Larkhan must be patting himself on the back big time for his decision to retire and get a new driver after 2002 because I think his team would be in trouble had he not.
I reckon he would be ecstatic (I know for a fact he is) with the job done by the little leprechaun both last year and even more so in 04. 8th in the Title (would be further up but for some punts from Castrol Punt Racing), regular Top 10, lately regular top 5 and plenty more air time for Orrcon. And he has brought the car home damage free mostly, the only blemish I can remember in the whole 2 years was his Bathurst 03 (which on replay is 50-50). I have heard a very reliable rumour that Larko has signed a new lucrative minor sponsor on the back of all this. Hope you get a podium or win for the team soon, Bargs - but a big WELL DONE for the year, little fella. Us Larko team fans are getting more to cheer about each round. |

I think Mr Winterbottom has done pretty well in his rookie year as well, the results show he is quick, but not as consistent as Bargs at the minute....
The Bathurst pace was very very good.... and the Orrcon car would have finished about where it did without the problems with the GRM car... |

Here here.
Having known Bargs since the early days, he is committed, talented and has done the hard yards to get where he is. |

yes it has been an awsome year for them
i bought an orrcon hat and lost about$35 on them at bathurst (but i would have won about 2grand Winterbottom is only just behind skaife in the championship and as a rookie you would have to have felt you had done a pretty good job to be so close more to come from the boys i hope |

Whilst I don't agree with the Bathurst accident in '03 being 50-50, that Ford team has put a lot of Ford teams to shame this season. Well done to them on their performances and well done to Bargs for keeping his nose clean

It's great to see them moving forward Larko seems like a top bloke as do both his drivers. I think they'll only get better next year they took awhile to recover after having no money & therefore no developement after Mitre 10 left but I think they have really got there act together now.

Good year for Bargs, pity Frosty got tangled up with Tander at Turn 1 at Bathurst and ultimatly ended in tears at Turn 2. But I am sure that he will learn from that and move forward, bargs has had a few moments "out of the sun" up there so no problems.
All in all , well done Team Larko |

There improvement this year has also come from the fact that they got extra money from Ford and have been able to upgrade their brake package. Bargs was looking forward to this upgrade at the end of last year.
