Brutes in Tassie
How did the V8Brutes perform in their new role as support category for AVESCO?
I had to laugh when I saw the truck bogged that was trying to recover a stray Brute that had left the circuit... halfway down a straight!! |

Hmmmm... I am reliably informed that any reference to the vehicles with 2 doors and a trayback kinda thing as "BRutes" may invoke some kind of legal remonstrations from the owner of the brand name "BRutes"....
They are called 2004 Kanga Loaders Summer Shootout for the Dunlop Trophy" apparently.... |

which is why none of the 'V8 Utes' had rear wings... aparently the wings were trademarked to Procar/Brutes

Wrong GTR, that is the name of the series. The name of the category is V8 Utes, as resisturban has correctly stated.

No rear wings? Bloody hell, when will politics come after racing?
It would be nice if the Utes were allowed a continuation of the rear wings as it is not only sponsor space, but it is also an aesthetic enhancement. |

What happens to the championship pointscores that each driver accumulated under the PROCAR banner?
Do they get to carry these points over from the former series?....or is it like everything else AVESCO.... "What other series?" |

its a new championship pay dirt
the v8 brutes championship has been run and won. this is a bonus championship made up of Tassie and Eastern creek rounds called "2004 Kanga Loaders Summer Shootout for the Dunlop Trophy" (as already mentioned) |

It will be interesting to see how the Utes and GTP (if the rumour that they go to AVESCO) are treated on the V8 Supercar program. I guess this time next year we will know.
